Me and the phone

I got a new phone last week and right now  I really like to take photos with it. Although I FINALLY got a camera. My parents old one :). So, here are yesterdays pics.

So what are we going to do today except of making dumb faces? Let's go for a run. Let's not care about the Cortison which makes the joints hurt. (I had to try the self- portrait function)

The pond my jogging expedition started at

Flower tree (can't resist taking pics of flowers)

                                         The fountain at the pond

The path. Flat and long, the way I like it.

                                                                Ducks and horsies!

Total: 9,2 kilometers! Great easy run. Now, my ankle hurts. No pain, no gain!

Enjoy your weekend!

University life

Today I tooksome pics of my "beautiful" university.

The view from our biology classroom
The pond which can simulate different climatic situations.Won many prizes.

                                                      View from the bus stop
After our highly exhausting biology class my friend and me went to town and had some ice cream. The biology compartment is doing an exhibition about dinosaurs and the early mammals that lived back then. We took some photos with giant rats.

Bine and that rat (and her ice cream)

                                                               me and the rat

I love skies, especially blue ones. And tall trees.

Where have I been?

In March I wrote about my leukemia story and then completely stopped. Things have been crazy in my life and often I wondered if I would ever be able to blog again. I also thought a lot about what to share with the bloggiong world about the happenings of 2012. Now, I'll just try.
In February Henny started to be majorly depressed. He sat on the sofa for hours. Sometimes studying for university, but not too much. He was agressive and not the person he used to be. There are many reasons for it. I respect all people. His mom had a hard time raising him and his sister on her own. I understand all this. Still, it is not an excuse for some of the things she does/did. He's still her child. You don't stop being a parent once your child turns 18. I could rant for hours about all this. I am a peace loving person. But sometimes you have to stop talking to people to find your OWN peace. As of now, she cannot give Henny what he needs. There were quite a few other issues. But, then there are issues in my life as well, but I can cope with them because I have the love and support from my parents. Always. No matter what. So, my family talked Hendrik into doing a therapy. Since then we have been making baby steps. I finally allowed myself to admit how bad things sometimes have been in the past half a year. My security was shattered. I never thought we would go through this. Not us. But I am still with H because I love him. Because I don't leave my best friend in the most critical situation of his life apart from the death of his father. Of course I have to take care of myself. And I do.
2 weeks ago I was diagnosed with Morbus Crohn. This basicly means I have a chronicallly infected colon. Now, I have to take Cortison which makes my joints hurt and does not allow me to sleep past 7:30. Additionally, I am constantly hungry. Today is one of these extremely bad days. My shoulder hurts because I slept on it last night and I only slept for 6 hours. I am done. But Henny tries to take care of me.
My (little) brother had his fourth surgery on his jaw. He is feeling a lot worse than I do. I pray so hard that he will finally be able to study in autumn. It hurts to see his classmates go to college while he can't. He deserves it. But he wants to study medicine and it is very hard to get accepted.
My grandfather died last Saturday. He was 91. He lived a long life. He walked to Russia in World War II and saw things that left him traumatized. Now, he is with his wife and daugther. He is in a happier place now. Still, I have been in a strange mood. Kind of reliving many memories of my early childhood when I would visit my grandparents at the weekends.
On a positive note: Summer FINALLY arrived and I got my first sunburn because I just could not resist :)
