My adventures in the USA (part2)

After staff training up in Wisconsin was done, we went down to Waterville, MN to the camp we would be working at for the next six weeks. The drive lasted somewhere between 5 and 8 hours (we don't quite agree on that) and we had quite a lot of fun in the bus making up songs that we would keep sing for the entire summer.
First picture of our camp family

On the way we stopped in Minneapolis and took some more pictures of our new family. It is such a weird feeling looking at these pictures now and knowing what was about to come and how close we would be in just six short weeks.

Eventually, we finally arrived at our cute little camp and our home for the next six and a half weeks.

Since it was the fourth of July we then got into our bus again and experienced some "American culture" or, to put it simply, some patriotism;) I have never seen so many flags in my life.

Of course there were some fireworks!

next: minneapolis sculpture garden and the first day of camp!
