Family time

Yesterday my family (parents, brother and me) went to Frankfurt to visit my three cousins. They are my dad's sister's kids. My aunt died 7 years ago from breast cancer, about the time I finally started to feel like myself again after leukemia. Tough times for our family. But we make apont to meet once in a while.
So, after my brother finally got out of bed AND dressed we made the one hour drive to Frankfurt. We quickly checked out my youngest counsin's flat and then went to visit the "Main Tower" (the river Main flows through Frankfurt). In front of the tower they were shooting a scene for a film. They repeated this scene about a million times. They were shooting it as we went up and were still shooting it when we came down again after an hour. The scene basicly consisted of a guy standing in the open door of a truck and throwing money on the street whith the police following him. The whole street was covered with fake Asian money. Of course I collected some :)
Ok, so we wnt up and just enjoyed the view and the nice weather.

After finally being allowed to leave the building (a swiss guy from the film crew was very stressed out by all the tourists constantly leaving the building) we went on a long walk through Frankfurt and to the Palm Garden. The flowers were nice and everything but we had really walked a lot so we just relaxed and enjoyed.

The day ended with cake and more conversations in the flat. When we finally got home I was exhausted.

PS: When am I finally going to buy myself a camera???

My day

Outside my window: The street is settling down, the sun begins to set and the leaves begin to fall

I am thinking: of my friend Jan's birthday party I'll go to in about 90 minutes! Yeah! (will miss Henny though)

I am smelling: nothing

I am thankful: for my family who support me every single day. My best friend Bine and my bf who can be so sweet if he wants. God watching over me :)

I am wearing: Jogging trousers and a sweatshirt (already start missing the T- Shirts)

I am reading: "A love that multiplies" Love the Duggar family! (When does the new season start?)

I am hoping: My best friend and I can really do the biology course we are supposed to do next week next year because it's just tooo much stress right now and it would really be making me feel better.

I am hearing: My brother typing on his laptop (my room is his living room)

My music: silence after a long day of studying and running around

I look forward to: seeing henny more often soon.+ The day after the biology exam

Let me introduce myself

I thought it might be a good idea to inroduce myself before really getting started.

Ok, my name is Anne, Im currently 22 years old and I live in Germany. Goodbye to those people who still believe we are racists, we wear dirndls and drink beer all day long and didn't join the Iraq war because Germany is next to Iraq (my ears honestly had to hear somebody dumb saying exactly that one day).

Still there?

I´ll continue: I want to become a High school teacher. In Germany every teacher has two subjects. Mine are English (love it) and biology (absolutely hate it). I moved to the city I'm studying in november 2010. I share an appartment with my boyfriend. Totally love this guy but sometimes he and his quirks freak me out. We've been together since 2007! He'sa  student at the college as well and of course our schedules are the complete opposite. He mostly has classes in the afternoon while I have to get up in the middle of the night.
Moving out meant leaving my family:) I love my family. My (cute) little brother is two years younger than me. He's a perfectionist which worries me a lot. Everything he does and wears plus the way he looks has to be perfect which is (as we all know) impossible. He had surgery on his jaw last year and this year because there was something wrong. And now he reduces himself to his imperfection. But he has got so much to offer... :( I want to protect him like I always did, but you can't protect a 20 year old, can you?
Then there are my parents. awesome people as well of course. My dad is a High School teacher and my mom owns a pharmacy. They both worked terribly hard while raising us. Im proud to be their daughter!
Now, I can start to describe this crazy, busy, funny life!
